Decide where the desk will sit before finalising sockets and lighting. Integrated electrical features are most useful when the main supply can be routed cleanly, without extension leads crossing client walkways or creating clutter under the workstation.

If several technicians work in the same room, allow enough space between desks for chairs to move freely and storage to open. A clear layout can also make cleaning and resetting the stations between clients more efficient.
